This is the tale of the tragic love affair between Servilia Caepionis and Julius Caesar.
Servilia’s son is to be betrothed to a woman rumored to have poisoned her first husband, so she presents an alternative: the ideal girl–intelligent, insightful and most important, capable of love. Her brilliant idea turns disastrous when her secret relationship with Julius Caesar, the girl’s father, is publicly exposed. Within this politically-charged environment–where allies and enemies change by the day–Servilia is forced to choose between her family and the man she loves.
